BSA settlement with
Canadian organization: $ 52,000

Ross Video, a Canadian organization, has settled claims of unauthorized copying of copyrighted software with the Business Software Alliance (BSA) in total of $51,971.

They agreed to delete all unlicensed copies of software, purchase any licenses necessary to become compliant, and commit to implementing software asset management (SAM) practices.

The BSA was alerted of the software incompliance via a confidential report on their website. These reports are usually made by former or current employees. Read the full article here.
